Ms. Maribel Rodriguez graduated from Pan American University with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice and Elementary Education. She attained a Master's degree from Pan American University in Education with an endorsement in Mid-Management. She has also completed her PhD in the area of Curriculum and Instruction.
Ms. Rodriguez worked in Donna ISD for 22 years, starting off as a 1st grade teacher for 9 years and then parlaying her knowledge and expertise into school administration. In her 13 years as an administrator, she worked as a Curriculum Specialist, Assistant Principal and Principal at both the elementary and secondary levels. After her tenure at Donna ISD, Ms. Rodriguez served as a high school principal at a charter school before moving on to work with Region One Service Center as a Supervisor for Adult Education for 5 years.
In 2016, Ms. Rodriguez was given the opportunity to work at Progreso ISD as both the Director for Curriculum & Instruction and the Director for Special Education. Her 30 years of classroom and administrative experience at every grade level prepared her to take on these significant roles with great aplomb, while also offering her an opportunity to learn and grow and work with some truly great leadership and staff. Her ultimate goal is to ensure that Progreso ISD students are receiving a quality education where their educational needs are being served by highly qualified, exceptional teachers and staff.
Ms. Rodriguez is a proud mother and grandmother of four grown girls and three grandchildren.
